Attend Mifos Events in your Community!
One of the main goals of our Mifos Chapters is to spur community meetups between members of the local Mifos community. This will be done mainly through Chapter-hosted events. These events are meant as a means of exchanging ideas and a medium for networking and partnership. Events could range from meetups or speakers, workshops or trainings, and hackathons or fundraisers. What does joining my local Mifos Chapter entail?
Joining your local chapter does not mean you have to take an immediate leadership role. It simply gives you easy access to communicate with other member of the Mifos community.
What is the End Goal of your Mifos Chapter?
Our end goal is quite simple. We are looking to build a community of users that want to get involved to help spread our message of financial inclusion. This community will help us make larger strides in the financial space than we could ever make on our own. Additionally, we hope that by setting up a local chapter, this region will become self sustainable so the core team can focus our efforts on other regions of the world that we have not yet reached.
How do I Get Involved?
It’s easy to get involved in your local Mifos community! Simply sign up for your local chapter’s Mobilize.io page and get connected with other members of the Mifos community in your area. You can also attend community meetups to add your voice to our already vibrant community.
I’m New to Financial Inclusion… How can I help?
Whether you are a long time contributer or a new community member, we always have work that needs to be done. From documentation to deployment strategy and even just spreading our message, we always need more people to help us achieve our goal of financial inclusion. Projects will vary from chapter to chapter, but getting connected with your local Mifos community is the first step. From there, you will be able to contribute to the projects that interest you most.
Can I Create my own Mifos Chapter?
Yes! We welcome new leaders in the Mifos community! Click the following link to submit an application to create your own Mifos chapter. From there, if you are qualified and are in a region that is not currently represented, we will help you create your own Mifos hub in your local community.

Can I Try out the MifosX platform without Downloading it?
Yes, you can sign up for a Mifos X sandbox trial instance here. This trial lasts 3 months and will allow you to play around with our open source platform first-hand before deciding whether or not to deploy.
Where do I sign up for my Local Mifos Chapter?
You can sign up from our “Get Involved” page here.
How many hours do I need to put into the Local Mifos Chapter?
You can put it as many or as few hours as you’d like. The Mifos chapter is merely meant as a meeting place for members of the Mifos community to go discuss ideology and trade solutions.
